My B.A. is from Wayne State University where I majored in English literature with a minor in music. During my last three years of college I performed with orchestras in the Detroit area and taught trumpet at The Detroit Conservatory of Music where I was a private student of conductor Matti Holli and composer George Haas. After completing my undergraduate degree I abandoned music studies and completed graduate studies in Computer Science at IBM in Chicago. I retired in 2001 after 30+ years designing business application systems for corporate mainframe computer installations. In 2003 I resumed music study and composition activities. Since then I have written all the orchestral scores rendered as Midi files on this site. I especially enjoy playing the keyboard works of JS Bach on my virtual pedal harpsichord. Several of these pieces are posted here. I love the outdoors and wilderness and enjoy catch and release fly fishing in northern Michigan and usually visit Montana every summer.
